About Me
Shawn has worked closely with individuals and families in pursuing their financial goals for more than 35 years. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he spent two years in banking. Shawn’s favorite aspect of his job is building strong, long-term relationships with clients based on understanding and trust.
Shawn grew up on a small cattle ranch near Clyde Park, Montana, in the Shields Valley, received a certificate in Business and Accounting from the Helena College University of Montana, and has been a resident of Gallatin County since 1983. Shawn and his wife, Meg, married in 1987 and have two children, Hannah and Chad, who have both graduated from Montana State University. Shawn and Meg are now proud grandparents to two wonderful granddaughters. Outside the office, you can find Shawn with family and friends, helping with a Big Sky Bravery Task Force, or on a horse, helping a neighbor.
Shawn is a strong contributor to the Bozeman community. He has worked hard to help establish Big Sky Bravery, a nonprofit organization that brings in our military’s active duty special operations force members for post-deployment decompression programs in Montana. He has been a member of Bozeman Noon Rotary since 2000, as well as a past board member. Shawn served as the Bozeman Noon Rotary president from 2012 to 2013 and has also served on the boards of the Intermountain Opera and Uganda Orphans Fund.
“This community has given me the opportunity to raise my family, participate in community outreach, and establish a large circle of friends, all while making countless memories.”
